I couldn’t understand the motive of neither the council of elders chairman, nor our heritage minister Mr. William Ole Ntimama. But one thing for sure it reignited sour feelings and I had fought so hard to hold them.
Come to think of Keriako tobiko, his good academic credentials, eloquent queens English and lack of Maasai accent in his speech. Then think of Sammy kirui and his reasons for accusing Tobiko.what about Yash Gai-perhaps bitter for his failure in constitution review duties. I could bet my last coin that none of this tow men and their claims could have denied Mr. Tobiko his DPP post. I didn’t expect Kenyans or even august house members to give consideration scandalous Mr.Kirui or Even Bitter Mr. Yash Gai. But Maasai council of elders chairman as well as Mr William Ole Ntimama might have ruined the slightest chances of Kenyans ever approving Mr.Keriako Tobiko As their DPP.
August house-based on numbers- might have succeeded in approving him but I doubt he will get full support of Kenyans as the Chief Justice Dr.Willy Mutunga and his deputy Ms Nancy Baraza enjoys. Though ODM bigwigs have always been “vigeugeu” their sudden change of heart did little to earn him loyalty from right thinking Kenyans. I assume it was just a question of playing politicians tricks ahead of a general election in 2012
On the other hand, there was more to read on the two leaders statements that what could meet the eyes. While the chairman was thumping chest playing tribal resentment, Mr Ntimama was cunning enough to camouflage a tribal blackmail and assume the tribe’s Godfather.http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=varsit03-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B004HFRJCG&fc1=E52404&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=A3DFC7&f=ifr
What exactly could have motivated them to play these games? Was it a question of norm-something they’ve got used to do? Or was it to only blackmail ODM legislatures in favour of? Mr. Tobiko?

Sugar Daddy’s Dairy Letter to my Daughter.
I know that by the time this letter reaches you, someone would have already committed a “fallacy” on you. Though am partly to blame, I can’t help cursing that foolish, ugly, hunger ravened boy masquerading as man on top of my only “daughter”. Did I here that you have been seen with him again?…
I am sure you will not accuse me of not expressing my sagging love to you in this love thesis. I have taken the necessary precautions for the sake of our safety and for the “rose” flower we are building. Using the name daughter was not a mistake but rather a safety measure considering the way “pillow” has been insisting on emptying my contents something that has always been done by junior. Being a scholar there in KU I believe it won’t be hard for you to “see” darling,sweetie,babie,dear….. on the Jargon daughter.
I must apologize that my greetings a rather arriving late daughter. With all the harassment from your exams-that you told me on the other day- I have no choice but to admit it is unkind for me , considering the “empty pockets” have not been letting you embarrass them by hugging them in front of their girlfriends, though to my joy.
Your letter aroused a lot of emotions that I almost cried with love daughter. As “pillow” snored, I couldn’t help but re-read the letter again and again. For the first time I felt proud of you daughter. Your magazine cuttings reminded me of last holiday in naivasha and your perfume smelled Singapore.
Did you receive the parcel ? of course I know you liked the imported wig, the perfume and all the other assorted gifts dear. My friend was surprised that I imported them from Italy.
Of late the office has been boring with those skinny secretaries who vomits only Africanized English. The “womanish” feel that oozed when you were around is now a foretold dream. The congress speaker send me an email saying that he misses you. The gateman asked me of you’re whereabouts and I overheard the Tea girls-generously but with jealous- praising your beauty. Uncle Charlie was telling me of the hugs you used to give him while you were an intern at their place The bank manager from Lagos angered me when he said I was incomplete without you and that he had admired you for long. Anyway to make the long story short the people surrounding me are daily asking about you and I am surely missing you.
I hear Iron Lady has initiated a project of beautifying the Main Campus and that men have formed a group to fight for the rights of university male students. Is it true that even daughter’s of that land have initiated a project against men moral uprightness? These are bad news to me but when I join the senate everything will change. I can’t wait to see KU being a girls only university and prevent “empty pockets” from touching even the slit of your dress.
Meanwhile I am preparing for our vacation soon after you close for the long holiday. Prepare for the most modern romantic approach on you daughter and be sure I will not disappoint you.
I have deposited Ksh. 8000 in your account for use during examination and preparation for our trip. If possible send me your details for processing of the visa. I am doing my best to secure a presidential suite in one of the best motels in Seychelles.
I can’t wait to stroke your hair and fiddle you as you caress my rich tummy and my white beards.
I wish you well in your exam reminding you not to compromise by accepting advances from that “empty pocket” named lecturer. If anything don’t worry of your marks as your future is already determined whether you pass or not.
Prepare physiologically, philosophically, physcologically and physically. The Clip I sent you I believe will be of great help to you towards our holiday in Seychelles.

The people who I look up to the most in my life are dreamers because they are just like me and I am a dreamer. Dreamers are people who dream big and dream all sorts of things. We dream all sorts of things from being a teacher to being the first person to land on Saturn. In this world I think every body is a dreamer. Everybody when they go to sleep dream something and every body has this ability. Sometimes our dreams shape our destiny, goal, aim or objective in life. Many are those dreamers who make it happen. I sometimes think about what was going through Amelia Ear hart’s mind when she dreamed of flying her first flight or when Patrick Henry dreamed about liberty and said “Give me liberty or Give me Death”. People must have told Helen Keller that you won’t be able to graduate college your deaf and blind but she was a dreamer and she did graduate. They told Alexander Graham Bell that he was crazy in thinking that something like a telephone could be invented but he was a dreamer and said yea I am crazy. Even I think Evil Knievel was crazy in doing all those stunts- I know I would not do it, but he was a dreamer and he dreamed of doing something big. Once we take a step in what we believe in and what we dream of doing we accomplish it no matter what which is why I am a dreamer. I know I will face challenges similar to these people. My dad tells me how it was very hard for him to convince his dad to come to urban setting, his dad wouldn’t let him and said to stay in his local area and told him how would he start from scratch he had no one in town to help him where would he go but my dad was a dreamer and didn’t give up on his dream. Still he left with the woman he loved and pursued his dream of becoming something in Nairobi and living in a better place. Now he inspires me to become what I want to become and do it with the best of my ability. So you might ask me what my goal is. Well I dream just like my father just like all those dreamers who made it happen to be just like them that is my goal. I dream of being that one person that when people see gets inspired. I dream of being that person that will be talked about in schools and classes and in history class one day. I dream of being that person who has a statue of in a famous park just like the statue of Christopher Columbus in Central park that I see when I go there. I dream of being that person on a dollar bill just like George Washington on the 1 dollar bill. I dream of starting in a new movie just like Johnny Depp. My dream is to accomplish, in these

In anemia, there are a low number of red blood cells in the blood. Red blood cells contain the protein hemoglobin, which is vital to carrying oxygen to the cells of the body. Symptoms of anemia can be vague and include feelings of sluggishness, tiredness, weariness, fatigue, exhaustion, weakness, or low energy due to a general lack of oxygen that is available to the cells.
Shortness of breath can occur due to a low amount of hemoglobin that is available to carry oxygen from the lungs to the cells of the body. Low blood pressure (hypotension) can also result from anemia due to a lack of a sufficient amount of red blood cells in the blood to create enough blood volume to maintain normal blood pressure.
This can lead to sensations of palpitations, due to a lack of oxygen that can be delivered to the heart, resulting in a rapid heart rate. When the brain does not receive enough oxygen due to anemia, a person can experience vertigo or a feeling of faintness. Fainting (syncope), falls, and injuries can occur. There can also be difficulties with concentration and problems with memory. Serious life-threatening complications of severe anemia include shock, stroke, coma and death.
Other symptoms of anemia can include bleeding, vomiting blood, black tarry stools (melana), fever, severe bone pain, abdominal pain, weight loss, loss of appetite, and depression. Symptoms can also include flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, vomiting, and diarrhea.
How to control Anemia.
The following food sources should be taken in daily dietary intake.
Iron
Pregnancy increases the need for iron in the diet. The developing foetus draws enough iron from the mother to last it through the first five or six months after birth so a woman has an increased need for iron during pregnancy.
Iron losses are reduced during pregnancy because the woman is no longer menstruating and so loses less iron from menstrual blood loss. It is useful to include foods that are good sources of iron in the diet every day (for example red meat) and to have foods that are good sources of vitamin C (like oranges) to help absorb the iron.
The recommended daily intake (RDI) of iron during pregnancy is 27mg per day (9mg per day more than that for non-pregnant women). The amount needed depends on the amount of iron the woman has ‘stored’ in her body prior to pregnancy. If your iron stores are very low, you may need to get more from supplements. It is important to discuss your need for supplements with your doctor, as iron can be toxic in large amounts.

Folic acid (folate)
Folate (known as folic acid when added to foods) is a B-group vitamin found in a variety of foods. Some breakfast cereals, breads and juices are fortified with folic acid. This will be listed on the nutrition label of these products.
As well as a healthy diet, it is recommended that women planning a pregnancy take a folic acid supplement prior to conception and for the first three months of pregnancy to reduce the risk of neural tube defects such as spina bifida. Folate taken over this period can prevent up to seven out of 10 cases of neural tube defects.
If you are planning a pregnancy or are in the early stages of pregnancy, you should increase your folate intake by an additional 0.4mg (400µg) per day above the recommended daily intake (RDI) of 0.6mg (600µg) per day for pregnancy.
Folate in your diet
Excellent food sources of folate include:
Very good food sources of folate include:
Although liver is high in folate, it is not recommended to women who are, or could be pregnant, because of its high vitamin A content.
Iodine
Iodine is an important mineral needed for the production of thyroid hormone, which is important for growth and development. Inadequate iodine intake during pregnancy increases the risk of mental impairment and cretinism in the newborn baby.
Foods that are good sources of iodine include seafood and seaweed, eggs, meat and dairy products. Women who are pregnant should also use iodised table salt when cooking or adding salt to food.
Vitamin A
Although vitamin A requirements do increase during pregnancy, vitamin A supplements are rarely recommended for pregnant women. This is because an excessive intake of vitamin A may cause birth deformities.
The best way to increase your intake of vitamin A, if it is low, is through food sources like milk, fish, eggs and margarine.
Multivitamin supplements
Multivitamin supplements may be recommended for the following groups of pregnant women:
Dietary fiber

IRON DEFICIENCY ANAEMIA
Iron status can be considered as a continuum from iron deficiency with anaemia, to iron deficiency with no anaemia, to normal iron status with varying amounts of stored iron, and finally to iron overload – which can cause organ damage when severe. Iron deficiency is the result of long-term negative iron balance.
Iron stores in the form of haemosiderin and ferritin are progressively diminished and no longer meet the needs of normal iron turnover.
From this critical point onward, the supply of iron to the transport protein apotransferrin is compromised. This condition results in a decrease in transferrin saturation and an increase in transferrin receptors in the circulation and on the surface of cells, including the erythron.
Iron deficiency is defined as a condition in which there are no mobilizable iron stores and in which signs of a compromised supply of iron to tissues, including the erythron, are noted. The more severe stages of iron deficiency are associated with anaemia.
Functional consequences of iron deficiency
The pallor of anaemia was associated with weakness and tiredness long before its cause was known. Now it is recognized that even without anaemia, mild to moderate iron deficiency has adverse functional consequences.
Iron deficiency adversely affects
Specifically, iron deficiency anaemia during pregnancy
Moreover, iron-deficient humans have impaired gastrointestinal
functions and altered patterns of hormone production and metabolism.
The latter include those for neurotransmitters and thyroidal hormones which are associated with neurological, muscular, and temperature-regulatory alterations that limit the capacity of individuals exposed to the cold to maintain their body temperature. In addition, DNA replication and repair involve iron-dependent enzymes.
Bioavailability of food iron is strongly influenced by enhancers and inhibitors in the diet. Presently, there is no satisfactory in vitro method for predicting the bioavailability of iron in a meal.
Iron absorption can vary from 1% to 40%, depending on the mix of enhancers and inhibitors in the meal. Therefore, the adequacy – i. e. bioavailability – of iron in usual diets can be improved by altering meal patterns to favour enhancers, lower inhibitors, or both.
Enhancers of iron absorption include:
Inhibitors of iron absorption include:
IRON DEFICIENCY ANAEMIA
Examples of simple but effective alterations in meal patterns that
enhance iron absorption might include:
Other actions that indirectly affect iron status might include:
Food fortification
Several iron fortificants have been used successfully. Examples are as follows.
.
Supplementation
Dosage schedules for iron supplementation
Low-birth-weight infants
A daily dosage of 2 mg iron/kg of body weight in the form of a liquid preparation
should be given to all low-birth-weight infants, starting at 2 months and
continuing to 23 months of age (universal supplementation).
Infants and children below 2 years of age
Where the diet does not include fortified foods, or prevalence of anaemia in
children approximately 1 year of age is severe (above 40%), supplements of
iron at a dosage of 2 mg/kg of body weight/day should be given to all children
between 6 and 23 months of age. There have been some reports of stained
teeth after iron supplementation with some solutions. Good oral hygiene and
the use of ferrous carbonate can prevent this condition. Ferrous carbonate is
not soluble, but present as a suspension or a solution of iron-EDTA (118).
Children above 2 years of age
The recommended WHO regimen (4) – based on daily supplementation as
summarized in Table 10 – should be followed. However, supervised weekly,
or biweekly supplementation of preschool and school-aged children and
adolescent girls has been reported to be effective in several countries
(115,119,120).
Women of childbearing age: pregnant women
A total amount of about 700-850 mg of iron is needed to meet the iron
requirements of a mother and fetus during pregnancy, at delivery, and during
the perinatal period. Iron needs during the first trimester are lower than
pre-pregnancy needs; they increase the most during the second half of the
pregnancy and especially during the last trimester. For unknown reasons,
dietary iron absorption in iron-sufficient women is reduced during the first
trimester and increased in the second half of pregnancy.
The average woman of reproductive-age needs about 350-500 mg additional
iron to maintain iron balance during pregnancy. Potentially, this iron could
be provided either from the mother’s iron stores or from iron supplements.
However, it is not reasonable to expect that this additional iron can come from
iron stores, since they very seldom reach this level in women in either
developed or developing countries (the mean iron content of the body
reserves – ferritin and haemosiderin – is often only around 200-250 mg).

1And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
2And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.
3And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.
4And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.
5And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.
6And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.
7And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
8And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
9And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
10And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.
11Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.
12And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
13And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.
14And she put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.
15When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.
16And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?
17And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?
18And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
19And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
20And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand: but he found her not.
21Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.
22And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.
23And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.
24And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
25When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.
26And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.
27And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.
28And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.
29And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
30And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
Introduction
The rooms’ division areas all must function together in order for the hotel to maximize efficiency. Each area needs the other in a symbiotic relationship that mirrors a successful sports team: each position working together for the benefit of the entire team.
The engineering and maintenance division
It is a division that maintains the hotel property structure and grounds as well as electrical and mechanical equipment. Every piece of equipment, fixtures and furniture in the guestrooms, hallways, linen and laundry rooms, public areas and employee locker rooms must be in perfect working order at all times.
The number of items that may be in need of repairs in a single guestroom can be substantial: beds, chairs, desks, TVs, radios, lights, doors, toilets, faucets, walls, heating and air conditioning.
It is therefore imperative that good communication exists between the two departments at all times. For instance, if a guestroom lock is broken, maintenance must be notified, the room must be put out of order, the work performed, the area cleaned, and the room put back in vacant-ready status.
The human resource division
This division administrates employees’ paper work, monitors attendance, maintains good relations with labor unions, and ensures employees’ safety and working conditions. When considering personnel staffing communication between this division and housekeeping is vital. For instance housekeeping may be in need of an employee. The human resource fills employee requisition, advertises for the position, pre-screens candidates, and conducts the first interview and checks references. It sends the final candidates to housekeeping for a second interview and hiring selection.
The human resource is involved in orientation of new housekeeping employees that is the company’s philosophies, compensation package, pay schedule, and rules and regulations are explained in detail to the new workers. The human resource also ensures that the new employees fills out all necessary forms related to legal residency, income tax and personal information.
Good communication with human resource will result in hiring right employees to fill housekeeping vacancies.
Food and beverage division
There must be good cooperation regarding the pick up of room service material from guest room areas. Housekeeping must see to it that hallways are free from trays, carts placed by guests and section housekeepers therefore calls to room service must be regularly placed to remind this department to clear all areas.
The laundry room must provide the food and beverage department with clean napery on a daily basis. The laundry manager must request that all the soiled linen be delivered to the laundry room on time, properly sorted out and free from food scraps and table debris.
Furnishing clean uniforms to cooks, waiters and bartenders is usually the responsibility of the housekeeping department and therefore effort must be made to establish good relationship between the departments.
The sales and marketing division
This department sells the product and services offered by a hotel property. The housekeeping must provide the front desk with a listing of rooms that are ready for occupancy so guests can check in. Poor communication between these departments leads to delays in guest check in. And if this happens, the property’s reputation will suffer. The front desk provides housekeeping with night clerk’s room report. It informs housekeeping early in the morning of the status of all guestrooms in the property as it appears on the front desk records.
Cleanliness is one of the most important reasons for guests to choose a particular lodging property whose responsibility falls to housekeeping department. Therefore there must be good communication between sales and housekeeping if customer satisfaction is to be achieved. For instance if sales and marketing has guaranteed late check out, to a large group of guests attending a convention without notifying housekeeping, some of the rooms might not be cleaned in time to be available for a tour group to check in that same evening.
Communication between sales and marketing and housekeeping is also necessary when specific rooms and suites must be available for inspection to meeting planners who are considering the property for a possible convention. If the rooms in question have not been impeccably cleaned, the company executive might well take their business elsewhere.
Accounting division
A hotel’ overall financial health rests solely on its ability to make and collect money. A hotel must be able to track or account for this revenue. Accounting is the process of tracking and analyzing cost and revenue information. A hotel should therefore CPAs staff. Good accounting practices serve to lessen any potential tax and audit implications.
In hotel property the purchasing agent often reports to the controller. The executive housekeeper is communicating with the accounting office when placing orders for equipment and supplies for the department. Housekeeping must provide accounting with all information regarding wages and salaries for instance pay increases, hours worked per week, overtime, bonuses awarded to workers and so on.
The executive housekeeper must also provide accounting with monthly inventory information in order to ascertain expenses of controllable goods and percentage costs. In addition to ensuring a permanent and accurate record of all financial transactions accounting should furnish housekeeping manager or agent with a concise statement of the financial position with regard to the property in his charge, including cost of management and repairs. It enables control to be kept over expenditure and financial success or failure of policy to be measured.
The security division
Security refers to the prevention of fire and other emergencies. There are so many security hazards on the ‘floors’ that liaison is particularly important and the housekeeper cooperates by endeavoring to see that her staff are aware of them and reporting anything of a suspicious nature.
The hotel should ensure that there is good communication between the two departments. It should have one or more security officers on their staff to prevent crime and to protect guests and their staff from such dangers as theft, bomb threat, fire or assault. The security division therefore patrols the property, monitors the supervision equipment and ensures safety and security of guests, visitors and employees.
