As I penned this letter the dazzling thoughts and threats issued by our local cleric threatened to spin off my mind from its orbit. They claim that love conquers all but I never believed this till I was proven wrong
Hi my lovely pal. Are you still going on with your studies? Are you okay and healthy? Back here were fine. Our youth fellowship has grown tremendously in number, Beth has since been married to kipyego. Mwenda’s wedding is underway and Maggie’s courtship has been announced.
Guyz here are trying hard to mend the potholes left on their faith
Winnie has been querying me about you so much. While chatting she has been praising my ability to seduce even saints-you-by my charming tongue. Alarmingly she had even once sought the said security from me but I don’t want to repeat the same mistake.
While chatting our minds once went wild and thought of match-mixing she once said that me and you can make great couples but……………
Anyway am missing you here my friend. The devil that once possessed me has sometimes left me longing for the escapades that we once shared with you
The purpose of jotting down this letter is to apologize to you, repent, seek forgiveness, reconcile and set up platonic friendship based on mutual respect. Its true I wronged you by flattering you my dear friend. What I said to you was not what I meant. It is sad that I never meant to love you but only attracted to. I was only attracted by you fine and perfect feminal curves and you gave in easily. I am sorry my dear friend
You never seemed to realize that I only used flattering but touching words when I wanted you at my bed.
I only treated you well because the holy book requires so. When I realized that our ‘love was merely seasonal I wanted to break the jinx but I had no moral fibber to do so. You portrayed the weakest part of a lady
My sexual urge surpassed the mutual respect we had been advised by our cleric. Also you easily accepted my cheap nothings without a second thought you might have loved me yes, but I was only interested with what was between your legs. Forgive me for this and please accept reconciliationPerhaps winnie was right but its too early to conclude on anything. Although you loved me as your spouse and prepared for our life together in future my case was different darling. I love, adore and care for you as a friend but only attracted to you sexually.
Undoubtedly your natural appeal is undisputable and striking, your beauty is incomparable and your heart is kind. But am afraid that continuing will only result to more intimate escapades prompting us to call it quits for now
I have no doubt that soon you’ll get a good man for you or maybe God may do his wonders and rekindle our affair at the right time later.

Time: 3pm to 6pmWhy Premier Raila Odinga should be Harrambe stars head coach
It’s around 9.45 pm when arsenal forward scores his today’s brace to sign the dismissal letter of west ham boss unromantic avram grant. As I rise to shout a hurrah for our third and winning goal, my mind perform some brilliant brainstorming to remind me of our fan number one , the right honourable premier and the current mediator of ivory coast peace talks. Every time our good boys go to the pitch, some boyish excitement seizes me trying to imagine how our fun number one react each moment a less neutral action occurs. For instance, Van persie’s first goal, last week’s bar hits and many more.
As a result of our nation winning the heart of an economist, the higher education loans board also got the better of its part and our families got poorer. This explains why I couldn’t honour such a match pitying super harrambe stars and minnows super eagles but i had the honour to watch our fan number one from the comfort of my neighbour’s room.
Of course minnows Nigeria spoilt our party and our premier’s week and the following events got crazy ideas going in mind. Having been last born in our family, being left handed and a quick brainstormer, I couldn’t help the already threatening seizure of old fantasy of creativity associated with men and women of my lineage. And perhaps for fear of irresponsibleness I could only attribute my claim of being an autonomous thinker to the loads of baseless philosophy “philos-sophia’ pumped to my blessed brain by non other than DR Tom Namwambah ( not Ababu Namwambah please).
And for the love of soccer, the sport I’ve never been able to play, am well informed on all matters weighty or light that has been begrudging its success. The same ego that had put me in trouble earlier keeps nudging me in the bloody political arena.
This is how my newfound love for PM Raila Odinga comes to be that were it not for my thirst and greed for softer meat I could have settled on more matured aspects of life. And as an information student, I couldn’t resist temptation to know more about my newfound love.
In the existing set up of curriculum activities, conclusions make a great deal of any paperwork that is to be presented. And for fear of biased conclusions as I have always felled to temptations, my old and well guarded reservations duly advised me to observe a portfolio balance this time round
This is how I come to the conclusion that my new found love could make a copy and paste of Jose mourinho and every other best coach in any sport you could think of, but could give a few pointers on a high school captain.
Based on the simple research that I borrowed from my mind………………………

Deadline is Monday 30th August, 2010
Dos
1. Follow the submission instructions. If they ask you to put your contact information on a separate cover sheet do so. If they ask you to email your poems in a specific file format (.doc or .rtf) do so. If they ask you to mail hard copies with a self-addressed stamped envelope, do so.
2. Submit polished work. Be especially careful about spelling and lineation.
3. Use a standard, easy to read font: Times New Roman 12 point or Calibri 12 point.
4. Unless the rules specify not to, submit a cover letter.
* Address it to a specific person if you know the person’s identity or to a Poetry Editor or Poetry Judge or Competition Judge.
* Identify the poem you are submitting by title, number of lines, and number of stanzas, especially if your poem is longer than a single page.
* Sign your letter with your legal name. If there is a monetary prize, you may be unable to claim it if you use a nickname or pseudonym.

A standard submission letter might read:
Dear Poetry Judge,
Please consider the following poem, “My Dead Cat” (3 stanzas, 40 lines), for the Hay Poetry Competition.
I confirm that it is my original work.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
A Kenyan Poet

DREAMER
The people who I look up to the most in my life are dreamers because they are just like me and I am a dreamer. Dreamers are people who dream big and dream all sorts of things. We dream all sorts of things from being a teacher to being the first person to land on Saturn. In this world I think every body is a dreamer. Everybody when they go to sleep dream something and every body has this ability. Sometimes our dreams shape our destiny, goal, aim or objective in life. Many are those dreamers who make it happen. I sometimes think about what was going through Amelia Ear hart’s mind when she dreamed of flying her first flight or when Patrick Henry dreamed about liberty and said “Give me liberty or Give me Death”. People must have told Helen Keller that you won’t be able to graduate college your deaf and blind but she was a dreamer and she did graduate. They told Alexander Graham Bell that he was crazy in thinking that something like a telephone could be invented but he was a dreamer and said yea I am crazy. Even I think Evil Knievel was crazy in doing all those stunts- I know I would not do it, but he was a dreamer and he dreamed of doing something big. Once we take a step in what we believe in and what we dream of doing we accomplish it no matter what which is why I am a dreamer.
I know I will face challenges similar to these people. My dad tells me how it was very hard for him to convince his dad to come to urban setting, his dad wouldn’t let him and said to stay in his local area and told him how would he start from scratch he had no one in town to help him where would he go but my dad was a dreamer and didn’t give up on his dream. Still he left with the woman he loved and pursued his dream of becoming something in Nairobi and living in a better place. Now he inspires me to become what I want to become and do it with the best of my ability.
So you might ask me what my goal is. Well I dream just like my father just like all those dreamers who made it happen to be just like them that is my goal. I dream of being that one person that when people see gets inspired. I dream of being that person that will be talked about in schools and classes and in history class one day. I dream of being that person who has a statue of in a famous park just like the statue of Christopher Columbus in Central park that I see when I go there. I dream of being that person on a dollar bill just like George Washington on the 1 dollar bill. I dream of starting in a new movie just like Johnny Depp. My dream is to accomplish, in these four years many things but I know my first step has to be to go to college.

Written By:Lilian Mwendo, Posted: Wed, Dec 29, 2010
Prime Minister Raila Odinga says there is still a possibility of withdrawing the trial of the six post election violence suspects from the International Criminal Court.
Raila assured a delegation of at least 1000 leaders from Rift Valley province who visited his Bondo home that the country could still convince ICC to hand over the cases to local courts if a local tribunal is set up.
He expressed fears that an intended move to withdraw the country from being a signatory of the Rome statute was futile since the international court would still pursue pending cases irrespective of the membership status of a country.
"Article 19 of the Rome Statute enables a country to take over cases from The Hague as long as they establish a local tribunal to undertake the trials" he said.
Odinga however faulted a section of leaders now crying foul over The Hague process for rejecting a bill meant to establish a local tribunal and now shifting blame to wrong quarters on sensing their mistake.
" We tried to push for a local tribunal for the trials in vain even after the ODM parliamentary group and the executive committee endorsed the proposal but some of our party membes turned their back on us when we reached the floor of the house" he added
His sentiments were echoed by Wildlife minister Dr. Noah Wekesa who spoke in Kitale during a funeral of his elder brother.
The Premier at the same time censored a section of leaders from Rift Valley for propagating falsehood to gain cheap political mileage and cautioned residents to be wary of such oves as the country approached the 2012 general election.
The visit at the Premier's Opoda farm saw elders from the Kalenjin and the Luo communities resolve to work closely for the mutual benefit of the two communities.
At least 12 members of parliament including three cabinet ministers graced the occassion
